IntrinsiQ’s IntelliDose receives ONC-ATCB Certification by Drummond Group

BURLINGTON, Mass. (Sep 21, 2011) IntrinsiQ, a division of ION Solutions, today announces that its IntelliDose® version 3.9 has received the federal government’s “meaningful use” stamp of approval by earning EHR Modular certification. The designation officially deems the electronic health record (EHR) software or healthcare application capable of enabling providers to qualify for funding under the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA). Tested and certified under the Drummond Group's Electronic Health Records Office of the National Coordinator Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ONC-ATCB) program, the software is 2011/2012 compliant in accordance with the criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“With this certification, IntelliDose users can be confident our application is a key asset in helping them achieve their meaningful use targets,” said Andrew Scott, Director of Product  Management for IntelliDose. IntelliDose is certified under number 09012011-1286-8 and listed on the ONC-Certified Health IT Product  List.

Drummond Group’s ONC-ATCB 2011/2012 certification program tests and certifies that EHRs meet the meaningful use criteria for either eligible provider or hospital technology. In turn, healthcare providers using the EHR systems of certified vendors are qualified to receive federal stimulus monies upon demonstrating meaningful use of the technology – a key component of the federal government’s push to improve clinical care delivery through the adoption and effective use of EHRs by U.S. healthcare providers.
IntelliDose is the most trusted CPOE in medical oncology and is integrated with the leading clinical healthcare software suites, bringing oncology-specific functionality into EHRs and health information systems. By creating a unified system to track chemotherapy treatments, IntelliDose helps practices become safer and more efficient, reducing the margin for human error and allowing practitioners to spend less time entering data and more time with their patients. It’s widely installed at private and multi-specialty practices, community hospitals, and academic medical centers.

When used in conjunction with a certified EHR, IntelliDose will be a primary source of orders to help meet the requirements for CPOE as outlined in the meaningful use criteria. During Stage 1 of the ARRA program, the criteria for CPOE requires physicians to have entered ‘at least one medication’ electronically for at least 30% of their patients. For most practices currently using an EHR, this requirement can be easily met using the EMR alone. As healthcare moves to later stages of the ARRA program, the requirements will increase. IntelliDose will be used as a main source for CPOE in an oncology practice and was certified for this purpose. Using IntelliDose for CPOE will easily ensure that IntelliDose practices can maintain their success with this key requirement.

This modular EHR is 2011/2012 compliant and has been certified by Drummond Group, an ONC-ATCB approved to certify any complete or modular EHR both ambulatory and inpatient, in accordance with the applicable certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services. This certification does not represent an endorsement by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services or guarantee the receipt of incentive payments. IntrinsiQ LLC’s IntelliDose version 3.9 was certified on 09/01/11 under certification number 09012011-1286-8.The certification criteria tested and certified were 170.302 A, D, E, O‐V and 170.304 A, C, E.
